Reservation and Cancellation Policy for individual clients

Payment

A deposit of 25% of the total cost of inscription is required when you make your reservation. With your authorization, we will automatically debit your credit card for the deposit amount.

The balance of the amount must be paid on departure day, in cash, with direct payment or credit card, at the ticket office of the Zoo’s welcome pavilion, the Borealium.

Reservations made less than 10 days before departure must be accompanied with the full payment. Your payment must be made in Canadian dollars, with a money order or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) payable to “Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien”.

Cancellation

Twenty-five percent of the payment is not redeemable when cancelling a reservation. However, complete reimbursement is given at all times upon presentation of a doctor’s note or of a death certificate of an immediate family member.

“Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien” reserves the right to cancel the tour for reasons of security, inadequate conditions of the installations or bad weather. In such a case, the client will receive a complete reimbursement.

Services not used

No reimbursement will be given if a participant leaves the tour, for any reason, voluntarily or not, once the activity has started.

Limited responsibility

“Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien” is not responsible for damages incurred by a participant for reasons of illness, injury, accident, break of equipment or any other damage resulting from fortuitous events.

The participant authorizes “Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien” to photograph and/or record sequences of the expedition on video for promotional and commercial use, without financial compensation. 

Upon presentation of the deposit payable to “Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien”, the depositary accepts the terms and conditions listed above.

Security

The adventure tour is staffed by a competent, dynamic and professional personnel. All our guides have received first aid training. They can intervene if needed and have a first aid kit on site in case of emergency. The radio and telephone communication system allows our staff to communicate with each other at all times to follow all activities and resolve any difficulties.


Medical File for Each Participant

Each participant must complete the medical file provided by “Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien” upon reservation. “Le Zoo sauvage” must  have received the medical file of each participant before departure.

Essential Personal Effects

A “Luggage Checklist” is given to each participant when the reservation deposit is made.

Equipment Included

“Le Zoo sauvage” provides : a sleeping bag,  a pillow and pillow case for each participant.

In each prospector tent, you will find : a bed of branches with a small mattress, towels and facecloths, soap, a small stove with wood to heat your tent if needed, and a night table.

Weather

The “Adventure Tour in Caribou Country” takes place in any weather unless there are extreme weather conditions (i.e. : lightning storms, violent winds). The decision to cancel the tour is left to the judgment of the administrators of “Le Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien”.
