Ever since he was little, Inukshuk has had an infatuation for blue toys! That is what the Toronto Zoo’s keepers noticed when he was first rescued. At only a couple weeks old, Inukshuk would bite, destroy and squash the blue buckets left with him.

History now repeats itself here at the Wild Zoo of Saint-Félicien. At irregular intervals (to prevent habituation) we introduce diverse objects in the polar bear enclosure in order to stimulate these large predators and as can be seen on these pictures, Inukshuk still enjoys its blue toys, a liking he has transmitted to our little females, Frimas and Aisaqvak…much to the bucket’s delight!

We invite you to come and see our polar bears play in their large habitat throughout winter. By the way, did you know that polar bears start responding to cold temperature only below minus 40 degrees Celcius? Humans are much more sensitive, so put on your best winter clothes for your visit!
